Cain Is Ready & Able

We caught up with local lad Terry on why he chose to come back to United.
Hi Terry, welcome to the club
Why Winsford ?
With Winsford being my hometown I felt it was a good fit for me and it’s a step up from the level I was playing at. The Coaches & some of the team mates I’ve played with over the years at different levels, so it’s always good to see familiar faces.
What can the fans expect from you?
Supporters can expect 100% effort, desire to win and to support my team mates.
Hope for this season?
Individually, I want to prove a point to myself and any doubters that I can play consistently at this level. As a team, we want to push for the highest possible finish in the league and a bit of silverware would be great!
How was lock down ?
With being self-employed lock-down allowed me to have some quality time with my Girlfriend and Daughter, who kept me busy.
How is preseason?
After a slow start due to work commitments, my fitness continues to improve, I’m enjoying the game and the coaching team and players have been really welcoming.
Who were your footballing heroes?
My Dad (Terry Cain) was always someone I looked up to. Professionally, John Terry was always my favorite defender, but I have never seen a left peg better than Lee Duckworth!
