Winsford Win Race to Sign Attacking Midfielder, Anthony Hall!

WUFC are delighted to announce the arrival of much sought after attacking midfielder and NWCFL podcast team of the year member Anthony Hall.

We caught up with Anthony at the weekend.

Hi Anthony and welcome to Winsford Utd!

Why Winsford for you?

When I was approached by both the gaffer (Lee) and the coach (Fez) they both spoke of how highly they thought of me. The gaffer himself had been to watch me during the back end of last season playing for Bacup so that gave me huge confidence in myself that I was what he wanted.

Also the ambition spoken by the management team for the upcoming season was very positive and I can’t wait to be involved in it.

How is preseason going?

Preseason is going very well some good quality on show and can already see a lot of competition for places. A lot of running of course, but I’m sure it will all pay off come the start of the season.

Personal hopes and aims for the season?

My hopes for the coming season are to play a contributing factor in Winsford challenging for promotion in the league. I’m also very excited to compete in both the FA cup and the FA Vase. Lastly I am hoping to continue scoring and creating goals to help my team.

Ducko says:

I’m delighted to get Anthony over the line. He’s quick direct and possesses a quality end product.

He scored circa 30 goals last year for Bacup Boro, won countless personal awards and was a player courted by many clubs at our level. His attitude and work rate have been first class in training and I’m sure he will continue to progress under the staff here.

He was one of our main targets so it’s great to be working with him!
